Dear Mr. President,
My name is not important because I speak for a lot more than myself. I
didn’t vote for you, but after September Eleventh 2001 I was in your corner.
I’m from the left and very patriotic. I started giving you a chance and found
you to be an exceptional President. I trust you want what’s’ best for The
United States of America so I’m taking the time to give you my view to
make our country safe, healthy, and strong.
I’ll grant you the missle defence shield and a new relationship with Russia
but this new call to Nuclear arms is out of the question. To lump Russia, the
new democracy, in with the rest sounds ridiculous. When you threaten
second world nations with nuclear weapons, we look like a thug.
I am in favor of being proactive on the war against terror but we need to
finish in a good way in Afghanistan so our future enemies know we only
mean the best, thereby undermining their hate. We need to clean up our
act in a lot of countrys. Our nation sends a lot of help out to the world so we
have some good press there. Written between the Afghanistan and
Iraq war.
Letter for Peace/Restraint to President G.W. Bush 43
Our country is the greatest, we have won the hot Cold War.
Lets set the world up right, and show what we were fighting for.
We need to install Governments, that serve their fellow man,
The Bear’s not breathing down our neck, start in Afghanistan.
Let’s show that voting works, that freedom leads to better life,
That common people matter, peaceful schools instead of strife.
Lets show we are creative, make utopia from crap,
So kids can get excited, when they look at a world map.
We have all the technology, but do we have the will?
Peace is more important than a hundred dollar bill.
Most people trust their government, the rest pray that they can,
From up in outerspace, all that they see is fellow man.
Lets leave behind a legacy, when Earth got fixed and how,
I know I sound impatient, but we need to fix it now.
We now are on the brink; to kill Saddam inside his box,
He isn’t going anywhere, lets wear him down with talks.
Let’s let him have the first good punch, with all our troops around,
And then the world will back us up, to beat him fast and sound.
We’ll roll in, march in, fly and bomb, with planet Earth behind,
We’ll show restraint and prudence, cause we are the standup kind.
He may hold out for years, with the inspectors doing work,
We have until the Lord returns, to deal with this here jerk.
It may cost us a couple mill, to wait for him to freak,
Alone or with the world, what kind of answer do you seek?
We do not own the world, we’re just the big kid on the block,
We need our friends and neighbors, so someone don’t clean our clock.
If we succeed to alienate, our buffers round the world,
They may not take to noticing, Al Quaeda’s flag unfurled.
The secret cops around the world, can function on good will,
They may just turn away, from our one hundred dollar bill.
A simple mis communiqué, and hundreds may be lost,
I ask you, Mister President, have you compared the cost.
Let’s wait him out like Russia, take a deep breath in your bed,
We might inspire martyrs, or breed confidence instead.
Confidence in freedom, confidence in the U.N.
We have the troops in place, we will face dictators again.
The World will see we mean it, but not eager for a war,
No one will come against us, if they see what we are for.
I hope we’re for the people, and that companies serve us,
Instead of ruthless killing, we are eager to discuss.
As Teddy Roosevelt once said, talk softly with a stick,
We need to show restraint, or give the terrorists the trick.
We’ll look like mad invaders, who like killing for the sport,
A giant to be terrorized, by people we import.
So many folks look up to us, a model of life free,
Lets keep our bullets in the clip, so everyone can see.
The U.S. is a Peaceful land, but don’t you mess around,
We fight for Peace and Freedom, but our Leaders they are sound.
They’ve got all the time in the World, let Russia tell ya so,
From President to President, our power stance will flow.

Legalize Hemp, Save Social Security, and Decriminalize Groove
(Draft)
I went through a lot of changes deciding whether or not to include this
subject with “Redpeacecross a Peace Army.” I know it is a red flag for
some, and just getting a peace army together is a daunting task, let alone
legalizing marijuana. Marijuana is not needed for Redpeacecross
success, but it helps.
When Marijuana is legal, American farmers will have a large variety of
products to grow. Hemp can be used to make strong and coarse (tall
plants), or very fine (small plants) fabrics. Hemp requires less farm
chemicals because of its nature. Hemp produces oil for cooking and
driving. Hemp seeds can be eaten. Hemp has many medicinal qualities.
Hemp also produces an intoxicating herb that is harder to grow right than
you might think. The taxes from the smoking hemp, would probably be
enough to save Social Security. People have used intoxicants the world
over, since before Stonehenge was built. Pot is just one of them. Some
people are not meant to smoke it, but some like me, don’t like alcohol. Pot
has a motivating effect on some people and an anti-motivating effect on
others. Pot is hard on the lungs, while alcohol is hard on the liver. Some
people get schizophrenic thoughts on pot, where some want to fight when
drinking. Pot makes some people sleepy and is unenjoyable. Pot
increases appitite. Pot has no hangover. Everything in moderation. Some
mental illnesses clear up when drugs or alcohol are taken away. I find
alcohol to be a deadening, kind of experience. I think mixing alcohol and
pot is a waste. If the price is started at 75% the current street value, pot
dealers and smugglers would go out of business. Varieties of herb on the
shelf would produce the same kind of high every time. The law
enforcement people could devote even more resources toward the hard
stuff and we could save lives. God wants his ten percent of taxes raised
from the sale of marijuana to go to the Redpeacecross.
Kids who want to try pot for the first time will be dealing with a guy in the
liquor store parking lot, rather than in an apartment with possible access to
the hard stuff. Talking to people for the first time who regularly break the
law in big ways (drugs) is quite an ordeal for some kids. Idolizing the
outlaw or fearing the dealer when you’re there, because “you know people
on drugs.” The emotional rift is that much more intense when the first
intoxicating experience is something illegal and harmless. “Parental
Distancing” occurs when secrets are between. The more intense the
secret the stronger the wall. (People have died from too much alcohol,
and they thought it was OK since it was legal.) Millions of Americans are
breaking the law every day by smoking pot.
Marijuana was legal in this country until 1924? when many industries along
with political forces conspired. The campaign was multi-layered and
somewhat organized. The liquor industry was afraid of losing market
share to an small, disorganized, farm grown herb. The cotton industry
wanted more market share in the fiber market. The timber industry wanted
to sell more pulp wood. The chemical companies wanted to sell toxic
chemicals to paper mills. Doctors in the pocket of these industries,
wanted to make money and be praised for their expertise. Blindly
believing religious groups found an intoxicant they could help stamp out.
Law enforcement wanted something else to prosecute for jobs/power. A
newspaper or two did their part to contribute to the industry alliance for
accolades and recognition, and sell news papers. Pharmaceutical
companies wanted to have more control of the healing substance market.
PLANT? farmers wanted more market share in the vegetable oil world. ...
ROPE...enlightenment...Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of
Independence on hemp paper. Rolled
Cigarettes cost 2/3 less $ and contain No Additives. If you can’t roll,
practice. The tobacco is cheap and after 30 or 40, you will get the hang of
it. Give the saved $ away! (follow the money)
If you haven’t acquired a taste for tobacco or marijuana, I
recommend you don’t start!
Hemp
Hemp produces ten times the paper per acre as
wood and requires less chemical treatment.
Hemp can be processed into ethanol,
and requires less fertilizer than corn.
Hemp produces a fiber more durable than cotton.
Nobody has overdosed and died on hemp.
Hemp introduces people to the drug underworld.
Basically honest people are labeled criminals.
Millions are spent fighting a semi-harmless drug.
Millions in tax revenues are lost every year.
Hemp is less physically debilitating than alcohol.
Hemp has many medical uses.
Thomas Jefferson allegedly smoked hemp.
Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Legalize Hemp Production
The hemp should all be legalized, to turn the world around,
Agents bust the harder drugs, sell reefer by the pound.
The curious are drawn into, the underworld of drugs,
For trying something safe, they end up giving gangsters, hugs.
The herb is lumped on in, with heroin and PCP,
The lie that pot is just as bad, makes choices hard to see.
What other lies did those folks tell, what end is really up?
How do I have fun and be safe, I’m more than just a pup.
You can’t just order me around, do this thing, now do that,
I think, I feel, I contemplate, I really like to chat.
I talk to friends and strangers, to explore the safe and bad,
I wish the one who set me straight, could have been my own Dad.
But he was not so privy, to the safeness of the weed,
It scared him very much, that I would do the evil deed.
The weed is not so bad I’d say, it’s just a simple plant.
Ya pick it, dry it, smoke it, let me give ya my own slant.
Her name is Mary Jane, she has a taste that grows on you,
It’s sweet and thick and potent, then it does what it will do.
The world is somehow calmer, being here is quite enough,
A problem is a challenge, we can figure out this stuff.
Lets look at it in detail, let a thought train take control,
Exhausting all the options, every mind can have a roll.
The taxes that we could collect, would give our land a raise,
And let our children coming up, have even better days.
The weed down at the carryout, would be a standard grade,
The liquor store type ganja, is how memories are made.
A bong hit at the bar, is sanitized with alcohol,
And hukkas in the party room, are sure to be a ball.
No one will fall or fight, if they have had a bit too much,
They’ll talk and laugh and giggle, life that alcohol can’t touch.
The hempware would be awesome, soft and strong, easy to grow.
And medicine made with the herb, is helpful don’t ya know?
Hemp paper it is just as good, and cheaper to produce,
It’s easy on the planet, tree consumption we reduce.
It’s ten times sheets per acre, page for page a better buy.
I look at all the reasons and I have to wonder why,
Who wants the trees for paper, who wants fibers that wear out?
Who wants people drinking liquor, who makes ailing people pout?
Who wants kids talking to dealers, for a minute or an hour?
Who would lie to keep things simple, for a kid about to flower?
Subjecting kids to lawlessness, for something like a beer,
It works for many millions, just another form of cheer.
Who would spend a lawman’s time, on something not the enemy?
How long will this go on, before the people wake on up and see?
That pot is better legal, given all of the concerns,
And makes the world a better place, through all the twists and turns.
