somehow the painting
resembles the person.

It is soul art

                 GIVING UP VS GIVING UP
               FORM AND FORMLESSNESS
                  Dr. Rosemary L. Matic’

that might be misunderstood, a difference which lies within the that
might be misunderstood, a difference which lies within the dialectic
of getting and giving, that for many people they are thinking of
what they can “get” out of somebody.  Is love somethingsomething
we long to have, or is it something which is a skill, cultivated
within our own dynamic,  to be able, at the right moment, to give
love.  Yes, good timing is essential in the art of love, and loving is
an art form.

love, and loving is an art form.

“turning point” that subtle moment which is both a getting and a
“turning point” that subtle moment which is both a getting and a
giving, both receptive and active  -- point of BLISS, the indefinable
point of turning, which is both an ending and a beginning, but is
also NO-THING. How subtle is the balance of God’s creation.
Essentially, it is the point between form and formlessness at which
time these billions of galaxies are in a state of being created, form
and formlessness being a  principle at the core of life itself – the
counterpart of which is breath itself, without which we cease to be.
counterpart of which is breath itself, without which we cease to be.
We are the microcosm of a universe, yet we are brief – essentially
that is how subtle it is – like a shadow and of a moment:
that is how subtle it is – like a shadow and of a moment:

There is nothing but this NOW, a principle which also tells us that
“what is here now is everywhere; what is not here now is nothing.”
SO THE BEST TIME FOR “MAKING IT”  IS AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT
IN TIME, WHICH IS NOW.  Time,  yes, is; what you are; time is what
you carry within you.  Good timing is within your power,  and time
is money.  That is, money is an issue of using your time well, which
is also to use yourself well.   “What is art?” someone asked Mr.
Warhol.  To which he said:  “Art is a friend of mine.”
New friends, our wars are done, we have nothing to tame but
ourselves; and before we can manage another, we must manage
ourselves, which is to manage our time.  Let us consider it as
expensive, as valuable and also consider us as the manager of our
realm, which is, by the way, connected to the greater ineffable
realms of this domain reflecting that domain of GOD itself.  That is
to say, this moment is sacred, and furthermore, so are you.   You,
and the making of yourself in time is your first and foremost work.
Self perfection or self mastery is our primary work.

What has this got to do with the polarity between AESTHETIC AND
ASCETIC, at the beginning of our alphabet of self discipline – the
word DISCIPLINE coming from the word DISCIPLE – aren’t we that?
YES, YES!   What is above is as what is below.  You might say the
Aesthetic is above, beauty and truth and is what is in the making,
and we are the MONK, the worker working on himself, the
ASCETIC.  That is to say, beauty and truth are linked; the ascetic is
concerned with beauty, truth and simplicity, because he seeks his
truth in he is doing right now – Honest, aye honestly, to bring a
piece of that great truth from heaven into our immediate realm on
the earth.

Do not worry about the money itself as something separate, but
know this, that what resides in the realm of truth and beauty, which
is above, OF QUALITY OR OF QUALITY TIME, is in and of itself,
worth a lot.  In this sense quality time is money.  Make that
reservoir the source work you choose to realize, and let it be in
harmony with the universe,  what is desirable, also,  to your fellow
man; e.g. it will be worth something, because it is worthy in the
eyes of God,  reflecting trut in the eyes of God, because it is
beautiful. Beauty is truth and truth is beauty; that is all we need to
know.  It will be FRUITFUL, because it is the fruit connected to the
vine, which is God and the Holy Spirit itself.

Test it before others, so that they might say, the ascetic, the
worker who is himself a becoming, a work himself, is a worthy
peer.  This is what is meant by:  “A man shall be known by the
fruits of his labors.”  Yes, your work is work on yourself through
self-correction and discipline.  That is to say, Christian discipleship
requires asceticism, giving up things and repentance, necessary in
the process of simplification.   Once things become simple, what
do we do – imitate the Lord.  The Lord is a healer, and the imitation
of Him is to be wholesome, whole, one with His creation, and to be
a vessel of healing for others.  Further ascetic is aesthetic, which
beauty reflects truth.  This is the range of beauty and truth within
which we should create our Godly works, works, therefore, which
will be pleasing to the Lord, works which reflect the ebb and flow of
the tides, which means that they imitate nature, or His creation.  Be
ye creative as is your father in heaven, who is creating millions of
galaxies at this moment.
